A collaborative book project for teenage authors exploring identity, purpose, self-expression, relationships, decisions, entrepreneurship, and pivotal moments of awareness.
The Teen Identity Project is a collaborative book featuring teenage authors who are willing to share honest, meaningful stories about identity, purpose, and becoming.
Each teen author will contribute one chapter to the book. Their chapter may focus on a personal experience, a turning point, a decision, a business idea, a creative project, a relationship lesson, a challenge they overcame, or a moment when they began to understand themselves in a deeper way.
This is not about having life completely figured out. It gives teens a safe, guided opportunity to reflect on who they are, what they value, what they are learning, and how they want to express their identity in the world.
ONE OF THE CHAPTER PROMPTS GIVEN TO EVERY TEEN AUTHOR
The Teen Identity Project is designed to serve teenagers, parents, schools, youth organizations, entrepreneurship programs, leadership groups, churches, coaches, counselors, and mentors who want to help young people develop confidence, clarity, purpose, spiritual grounding, and a stronger sense of identity.
Suggested age range: 13–19.
Who am I? What do I know about myself now that I did not know before?
What matters to me? What kind of impact do I want to have?
How does knowing myself affect the choices I make?
How has self-awareness changed the way I show up with friends, family, peers, or community?
How am I building, creating, leading, serving, or expressing something that reflects who I am?
What experience helped me see myself, my life, or my future differently?
How do I express my identity through my voice, art, business, leadership, values, style, service, or choices?
Before joining the project, parents/guardians and teens are invited to attend a live clarity call with Keren. This call is designed to answer questions, explain the writing and publishing process, and help families decide if the project is a good fit.
Interested teens will complete a short application with parent/guardian involvement. The application will ask for basic information about the teen, their story idea, their interest in the project, and the themes they may want to write about.
Because this project involves minor participants, a parent or legal guardian must complete a consent form before the teen can participate.
Selected teen authors will join the writing group and receive guidance through the chapter-writing process. They will be supported with prompts, structure, encouragement, and editing guidance so their chapter is clear, authentic, and meaningful. As part of this process, each author will draft a personal chapter of up to 1,700 words.
Each teen author will draft their chapter, receive feedback, revise their work, and approve their final chapter with parent/guardian awareness.
The completed book will be professionally prepared for publication and released as a collaborative book featuring the participating teen authors.
Each author will receive 3 printed copies of the book.

01 My Story
02 What I Used to Believe
03 What I Realized
04 How It Changed My Choices
05 How I Am Expressing Who I Am Now
My Message to Other Teens
Teen authors are not expected to figure this out alone — every author is guided through this exact structure with prompts and encouragement.

Teenagers are often asked what they want to do. This project invites them to ask something deeper: Who am I becoming?
When teens begin to understand themselves, they make different decisions. They choose different relationships. They create from a more honest place. They become more aware of their values, strengths, voice, boundaries, gifts, and purpose.
The Teen Identity Project gives young authors a platform to reflect, write, publish, and encourage others.
This book is not only about storytelling. It is about helping teens see that their voice matters now.
Teen authors will have the opportunity to:
Become a bestselling published author
Gain credibility as an author opening future opportunities
Develop confidence in their voice and story
Reflect on identity, values, decisions, and purpose
Learn how to structure and write a meaningful personal chapter
Be part of a positive peer author community
Share encouragement with other teens
Experience the publishing process
Use their chapter as part of their personal story, leadership journey, college application narrative, business platform, or creative portfolio
Because this project includes teen participants, parent/guardian involvement is highly encouraged.

The Teen Identity Project is a collaborative book featuring approximately 30 teenage authors writing about identity, purpose, decisions, relationships, self-expression, entrepreneurship, creativity, and pivotal moments of awareness.
The project is designed for teenage authors. Final age guidelines can be determined by the publishing team, but the ideal participant is a teen who is mature enough to reflect on their experiences and write a meaningful personal chapter with guidance. Suggested age range: 13-19.
No. Teen authors do not need to be professional or experienced writers. They need a willingness to reflect, write, revise, and share a meaningful story.
Each teen will write a personal chapter connected to identity, self-awareness, purpose, decisions, relationships, business, creativity, leadership, or a pivot moment that helped them understand themselves more clearly.
Each chapter will be 1,500 to 1,700 words, plus a 50 word bio.
Yes. Teen authors will receive prompts, structure, and guidance to help them develop their chapter. The goal is for the writing to remain in the teen's authentic voice while being clear, polished, and meaningful.
Yes. Chapters will go through an editing process for clarity, flow, grammar, and readability. The editing process will respect the teen author's voice and message.
Yes. Because participating authors are minors, parents/guardians should be involved and aware of the content their teen is submitting. Final review procedures can be explained during the clarity call.
Possibly, depending on the story's nature. The project is designed to be meaningful, honest, and age-appropriate. Stories involving trauma, abuse, self-harm, legal matters, or highly sensitive issues may require additional review and may not be appropriate for this project in full detail. These can be reviewed with Keren as needed. The goal is not to expose teens to unnecessary vulnerability, but to help them share wisdom, growth, awareness, and encouragement in a responsible way.
Yes. Selected teen authors will pay a participation fee of $1,500.
The clarity call is a live informational call where Keren will explain the project, answer questions, review expectations, and help families decide whether the opportunity is a good fit.
Yes. Since this project involves teen participation and parent/guardian consent, both the teen and a parent/guardian should attend or watch the recording.
After the clarity call, interested families may complete the teen application and parental consent form. Selected teen authors will receive next steps for joining the author group.
The publication timeline will be shared once the author group is finalized. A typical collaborative book process may take four to six months from author onboarding to publication.
The book will be available through standard book distribution channels, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and International Book Distributors.
We can't guarantee bestseller status, however, since we're launching the book as a group, it is highly likely the book will become an Amazon #1 Bestseller.
Yes. Each participating teen author will receive author credit for their chapter in the collaborative book. They will be listed in bookstore catalogs and on Amazon as an author and can create an Author Profile and claim the book on their profile.
Becoming a published author can be a meaningful accomplishment. Teens may be able to reference their participation in applications, portfolios, bios, interviews, leadership opportunities, business platforms, or creative work.
Yes, with parent/guardian awareness and in age-appropriate ways. Promotional opportunities and guidelines will be discussed with participating families.
Possibly. This can be discussed during the application and consent process, especially if there are privacy concerns.
That is completely normal. The project is designed to provide structure, encouragement, and support. Teens are not expected to overshare. They will be guided to share in a way that feels honest, wise, and appropriate.
